ADVENTURES IN LEARNING

ADVENTURES IN LEARNING

In Adventures in Learning we have four different sessions--Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Every Thursday morning session, we begin at 9:45 am with Coffee and Conversation, then at 10:00 a.m. either Chair Exercises or News and Views. We then have time for fellowship and coffee from 10:40 - 10:50. At 10:50 am, General Announcements are made. The 11:00 hour is filled with informative and interesting programs before we divide up for lunch (bring your own) or Line Dancing at 12:00.

After lunch, beginning 12:30 pm, we have another program of with varied and entertaining subjects. Afterwards, some of us stay from 1:30-3:30 pm to play Social Bridge or other varieties of games, such as Mexican Train Dominoes or Rummikube.

We draw on people from the Dallas/Ft. Worth community for our major morning and afternoon programs while we rely on the voluntary talents of our very own members to lead and teach our other programs. After all, we believe lifelong learning is important for our intellectual stimulation and development. We invite you to join us and see for yourself!

All activities are held at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, 2nd floor of Christ Family Center, 9200 Inwood Rd., Dallas, TX. For more information about our organization, please call 214-350-0465.
